At the heart of any sentence is the verb. Verbs tell us what someone or something is, has, or does; understanding the difference in function can help increase comprehension across content areas. We will review how verbs work and then engage in interactive workshop time focused on specific activities. You can bring back these activities to the classroom to help students analyze text to improve understanding.
