This session will focus on the impact of acculturation and belief systems on the disproportionate results within the special education qualification of language learners for special education services. There will be real life examples, data, and research to help attendees see the link between the results we are obtaining and our own acculturation and belief systems, as related to our current practices. This is designed to help attendees work through issues with others and themselves.
